Deploying and supporting business phone systems becomes much easier when devices can be configured remotely, so we are pleased that Snom has now added its M500 DECT system to the company’s Secure Redirection and Provisioning Service, or SRAPS, giving resellers and service providers a more efficient way to deploy and manage M500 installations.

In parallel, TeleDynamics is offering promotional pricing on the Snom M500 base station through September 2026, making this a timely opportunity for resellers serving businesses that need flexible wireless communications.

In this article, we provide details about the M500 DECT system, including the desk phone with customizable faceplates, the SRAPS service, and how to take advantage of the promotional pricing.

Secure, zero-touch provisioning with Snom SRAPS

SRAPS (Secure Redirection and Provisioning Service) is Snom’s cloud-based provisioning and device-management service. It supports secure, zero-touch deployment, allowing resellers to prepare device configurations before equipment reaches the customer.

Once the M500 connects to the network, it can retrieve the appropriate configuration remotely. Administrators can create provisioning templates and redirection rules from the SRAPS portal rather than configuring each system manually at the customer’s location.

For resellers and managed service providers, this can help:

  • Accelerate new installations
  • Standardize configurations across customer locations
  • Reduce manual setup and configuration errors
  • Support customers without unnecessary on-site visits
  • Simplify the management of geographically distributed deployments

SRAPS is available free of charge to Snom partners and customers.

Snom M500: a flexible DECT system for growing businesses

The Snom M500 is a scalable DECT base station designed to provide reliable wireless communications throughout offices, retail locations, warehouses, and other business environments.

A single-cell deployment can support up to 10 registered phones. Organizations that need additional coverage or capacity can combine two M500 base stations in a multicell configuration supporting up to 16 registered phones. Seamless handover and roaming allow employees to move between coverage areas without interrupting their calls.

Other M500 highlights include:

  • Up to eight concurrent calls per base station
  • Wideband audio
  • Over-the-air handset and desk-phone updates
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • TLS and SRTP security
  • Programmable function keys
  • Paging and intercom capabilities
  • Shared Call Emulation for improved team call handling

Shared Call Emulation (SCE) gives employees visibility into shared calls across the system. Users can see when lines are ringing, busy, or on hold and can answer, hold, or retrieve calls from compatible M500 devices.

The M500 system supports two endpoint options, allowing businesses to equip different employees according to how and where they work.

The M55 is a cordless handset designed for employees who need to move throughout the workplace. It includes a 2.4-inch color display, six programmable LED keys, Bluetooth headset support, and a built-in belt clip.

Its battery supports up to 19 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time, making it suitable for busy offices, warehouses, stores, and other environments where employees spend much of the day away from a desk.

A dedicated paging button also allows employees to broadcast messages to other M55 handsets and M58 desk phones connected to the system.

The M58 provides a traditional desk-phone experience without requiring an Ethernet connection at the workstation. Because the phone connects wirelessly to the M500 base station, it can be placed wherever it is needed within the system’s DECT coverage area.

The M58 includes a 5-inch color display, eight physical programmable keys supporting 24 self-labeling functions, built-in Bluetooth, and dedicated keys for frequently used calling features.

The M58 can also be customized with special-order faceplates. Contact a TeleDynamics sales representative for available customization options, order requirements, and additional details.
