Its various models offer a wide range of features and configurations to meet the needs of most personnel. This article showcases these headsets and highlights their features, allowing you to determine which model is best for your business. ## **WH series DECT headsets overview** These headsets come in two primary designs: headphones, with a more traditional headband and over-the-ear speakers, and slimline earphones, reminiscent of Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones. Each design has many options and variations to suit the needs of almost any telephone user or videoconference participant. The headsets come with a comfortable headband and a boom mic that can be positioned on either side of the head to allow you to speak comfortably and effortlessly be heard. These units are available in either a monaural design if you need to be aware of the sounds around you or in binaural form to block all sounds in a noisy environment. The earphone option delivers a sleekly designed earpiece with a boom mic that is exceptionally light, weighing under an ounce (just 19 grams). It is pretty versatile since you can wear it four different ways: with an ear tip that fits snugly within the user’s ear, with an ear hook that supports the device over the ear, with a headband that fits over the head or using a neckband that rests on the back of the neck. Like the headphones, the earphone and its mic can be used on either side of the head. Both the headsets and earphones come with a variety of options, including the following: - A portable version that makes use of a DECT USB dongle - A Teams-certified version for seamless use with a Microsoft Teams deployment - A unified communications version for use with a third-party SIP server or SIP service provider - A base station that acts as a charger and USB hub - A base station that acts as a charger and USB hub while also sporting a large color touchscreen for call control and an optional wireless smartphone charger ## **WH Series headsets: key features** All headsets in the WH series take advantage of DECT wireless technology, which delivers unprecedented freedom of movement with a range of well over 300 feet. For optimal sound quality, Yealink’s Acoustic Shield Technology allows you to be heard and to hear clearly during phone calls and videoconferences. The devices sport a customizable busy light to indicate to those around you that you are on a call. They also allow for connections to multiple devices and are natively compatible with all Yealink phones. The portable versions allow you to connect a USB dongle to any compatible phone or PC, instantly offering wireless communications capability. The versions with the base station provide you with a charging station that has a built-in ringer as well as multiple USB ports. This allows you to connect simultaneously to a telephone and a PC so you can use it interchangeably with the phone or with a collaboration platform on the computer. Finally, the more advanced base station delivers a large, comfortable color touchscreen that allows you to monitor, manage, and control your calls. It also provides a USB hub for multiple device connectivity and has a built-in speakerphone.
