What if a single desktop device could serve as your monitor, collaboration endpoint, camera, microphone, speakers, USB hub, and charging station? The Yealink DeskVision A24 brings all of these functions together in one streamlined solution designed for the modern workplace.

In this article, we take a closer look at its design, operation, collaboration features, and the use cases it is best suited for.

Discover what the DeskVision A24 can do

At first glance, the DeskVision A24 looks like an elegant and futuristic 23.8-inch HD monitor. Taking a closer look, however, you will notice a built-in camera peeking above the top edge of the screen as well as several buttons on its base that perform various functions.

At the most basic level, this device acts as an extension monitor for your PC or laptop, but it’s much more than just a monitor. At the push of a button, you can convert it into a standalone collaboration endpoint with microphones, a camera, and speakers, running an autonomous operating system that can be interacted with via its high-resolution touch screen. In other words, it can serve as both a PC display and a standalone collaboration device, with quick switching between the two modes.

The DeskVision A24’s all-in-one features

Among its most notable features is its 4K camera that has two built-in stereo microphones to capture sound from all directions. By pressing a button on its base, you can retract the camera, making it hide behind the screen when it is not in use. Press it again, and the camera appears once more.

The switch mode button is used to alternate between using the device as an extension monitor and a dedicated collaboration endpoint. When you press the button, the Android OS and its apps are still running in the background, but you only see the extended screen of your connected computer. If a call comes in, you are notified, and you can switch to autonomous collaboration endpoint mode to take your call.

Additional dedicated buttons include volume, mute, and Microsoft Teams for dedicated Teams operations.

The DeskVision A24 also includes several powered USB ports for charging devices, with a maximum power output of 45 W, a USB hub to extend the number of USB ports on your accompanying PC or laptop, and a wireless Qi charging station for charging compatible phones. Network connectivity can be achieved via either the wired RJ-45 Ethernet connection or the built-in dual-band Wi-Fi.

The 4K camera can capture and transmit 1080p at 30 fps in a video call, with an 83° field of view. The built-in dual microphones capture speech more clearly and naturally than a typical laptop microphone. The device also features an independent audio processing chip that implements Yealink’s next-generation deep-learning-based intelligent noise and echo cancellation algorithms, delivering an ultra-high-definition full-duplex call experience.

Its built-in stereo speakers, each with a maximum power output of 3 W, deliver high-quality sound with a frequency response of 100 Hz to 16 kHz, comfortably covering the range required for clear speech reproduction.

Choose the right certification for your platform

The DeskVision A24 is certified for Microsoft Teams Room on Android and has an integrated Teams button for Teams-specific features. It is also listed as Zoom Display certified, making it an ideal choice for any enterprise that has already invested in one of these two widely deployed collaboration platforms.

Putting the DeskVision A24 to work

Arguably, the most striking characteristic of the DeskVision A24 is its elegant design. The device requires a minimal number of cables and has many of the traditional collaboration peripherals associated with workstations built in. This eliminates cables and clutter from the workspace, making the office workstation more enjoyable to use.

This characteristic makes it ideal for use in hot desking scenarios, a dedicated conference room or booth, a home office for employees who require a high volume of remote collaboration, and even front-desk workstations, where receptionists and administrators can interact with remote parties more naturally.
