Yealink recently launched its brand-new A40 MeetingBar, which is based on Android 13. Designed to offer maximal simplicity and enhanced security, the A40 is fully equipped to bring quality audio and video experiences to small and medium-sized spaces.

In this article, Fuhan Lee, Product Marketing Lead at Yealink, reveals the must-know details about the new product, explaining how it fits into Yealink’s overall portfolio of all-in-one solutions.

One cable, simple deployment

The most prominent trait of the A40 MeetingBar is its simplicity of deployment, being a one-cable solution. In fact, A40 is a one-cable solution in two ways: It has a single CAT5e Ethernet cable connecting the meeting bar to the touch console as well as a single USB-C cable connecting the touch console to the PC.

CAT5e means no more separate sign-ins

The CAT5e cable connects the A40 to the CTP25, the latest version of the Yealink touch console, reducing clutter and simplifying deployment. Effectively, the user gets both power and network connectivity at once, eliminating the need for additional cables.

“This type of connection is more reliable and flexible compared to the typical USB-C one,” Lee notes. “But even more importantly, it means that one single sign-in (to the touch console) synchronizes the entire system, so there’s no need to sign into the bar and console separately.”

USB-C: Three desk cables combined into one

The USB-C cable connects the touch console to the PC, yet again uniting several functions into one cable: 4K content sharing, BYOD, and USB Power Delivery (PD) charging for the PC.

“Again, this makes for a very easy deployment and a highly user-friendly experience,” Lee notes.

The user experience gets another boost thanks to the CTP25 touch console’s multiple deployment options, offering a choice of a standard desk deployment, a rotatable table mount, and a wall mount.

Enhanced security with Android 13 and MDEP

The A40 is based on Android 13, the latest Android version supporting the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), ensuring top-notch protection against malicious attacks and data leaks. “We’re proud to be one of the first vendors to offer a meeting bar with MDEP, which can truly promise the security of the device and system,” Lee shares.

For anyone not yet familiar with it, MDEP is an Android-based platform from Microsoft offering a comprehensive set of security features like secure monitoring and hardware-backed device attestation.

Security is a relatively common concern with Android, and Lee clarifies that A40 is one of the first Android-based products to eliminate it: “MDEP, running on Android 13, promises uncompromising security standards compared to solutions running on Android 10 and 11,” he says.

Powerful AI features

In addition to its deployment and security benefits, A40 offers multiple AI-based features that enhance the meeting experience:

  • A dual-eye camera system, stitching two 78° display field-of-view (DFOV) telephoto-lens images to create an ultra-wide 120° DFOV view, guaranteeing high-quality images.
  • A dual 48 MP camera that easily frames long-distance portraits.
  • On-device IntelliFocus, displaying close-ups of the last four active speakers to encourage better engagement.
  • Premium audio with an 8-MEMS microphone array, voice pickup range of 20 feet (6m), and advanced noise cancellation.

Yealink’s all-in-one meeting solutions: ready for every scenario

The A40 MeetingBar is one part of Yealink’s all-in-one meeting solution suite, designed to serve different hybrid meeting scenarios and ease collaboration. “We offer two series of all-in-one solutions to allow customers to choose according to room size, budget, and existing equipment,” Lee explains.

The MeetingBar series is meant for rooms already equipped with a TV screen that can be reused or cases where a separate setup is preferred. The A40 is its newest member, designed for small and medium rooms.

For new medium to large spaces, Yealink offers the modern MeetingBoard series, which is also a good fit for spaces requiring mobility, like lobbies or open floors.
