Yeastar Day Virtual is Yeastar’s biggest virtual event of the year and took place on October 22 this year. This was the fourth consecutive year for this event and, based on the rich content and the level of participation, it was a great success!
In this article, we summarize its key highlights and provide a link to the session recording for those who may have missed the live stream.
Yeastar Day highlights
Yeastar Day 2025 Virtual was a very informative livestreaming session from Yeastar that shared the company’s key updates, product enhancements, and capabilities over the past 12 months. It also included a future vision roadmap that hinted at what you can expect from Yeastar in the coming months and into the new year.
The event started off by focusing on some impressive statistics, including a 400% increase in P-Series software edition adoption and over 200,000 extensions migrated to Yeastar systems. More than 150 new features and enhancements have also been rolled out.
As expected, this year’s event was centered on AI capabilities and enhancements. According to Gartner Research, over 80% of businesses are expected to employ AI in customer service in 2025, and over 60% of UC users desire an integrated AI contact center as part of their communications platforms. As such, AI is a significant component of Yeastar’s arsenal of products and services. The AI features showcased include the AI transcription service, AI summary capability, and long-awaited AI receptionist feature that will be available in the upcoming months.
Many of the enhancements and updates presented are direct results of the over 1,000 partner suggestions Yeastar has received over the past year. These include various backend platform tools, trunk sharing, CDR management, granular white-label support, and a new S-Series to P-Series PBX migration tool.
AI receptionist
A large chunk of the event was committed to showcasing the upcoming AI receptionist feature. As its name suggests, this is an AI that performs all the tasks of a telephone receptionist, including answering calls, listening to caller questions and providing information, and routing calls to appropriate extensions. This feature was demonstrated live and was quite impressive.
The most remarkable aspect of the AI receptionist is the high degree of configurability it offers. The AI receptionist can be refined to possess specific skills and exhibit a particular character or personality, and it can also be programmed with various abilities and restrictions.
AI receptionists can be trained using your business’s local knowledge base, comprised of files such as PDFs, document files, text files, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases of various sorts. Training can also be conducted using URLs that may be publicly available on the internet or within your own intranet. AI receptionists can be configured to use multiple languages and can even detect the language a caller is speaking and respond accordingly.
You can even create multiple receptionists, where each one is trained in different areas, may speak different languages, and may respond in different ways. For example, some may be cheery and approachable, while others may be more professional and straightforward. Some may be restricted from sharing specific information, while others may be configured to share particular types of data.
Of course, once you deploy your AI receptionist, you can’t just let it run and assume that all is well; it is new technology, after all. That’s where its detailed reporting system comes in very handy. This feature allows you to get an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of the AI receptionist, providing you with the total number of calls received as well as percentages of resolved, transferred, and unresolved calls. This gives you a clear view of how well the receptionist is doing and what parameters need to be tweaked to improve it even further.
Additional updates
Yeastar focused on other important updates to its series of products and services, including the following.
White label settings
These have become much more granular and detailed, giving resellers more control over what logos, colors, and design characteristics become an inherent part of their offerings. This lets resellers promote their own brands, ensuring that both the end-user interfaces and the Yeastar Central Management (YCM) for service providers make your logo and colors shine.
PBX API bulk access and batch CDR download
Several partners requested the PBX bulk access feature, which now allows you to obtain bulk access and make bulk changes across all of your instances rather than applying changes one by one. Similarly, the batch CDR download now allows you to schedule and manually generate bulk CDR downloads.
Future outlook
Yeastar Day Virtual continued with a future outlook, examining Yeastar's PBX and Linkus roadmap. This included a number of enhancements and updates, such as the new call timeline. This feature gives a historical view of how a single call is handled by the system. It includes a graphical timeline for each individual call that displays the events in its lifetime. These events include routing, IVR interaction, caller keypad presses, transfer successes and failures, transcriptions, and recordings. It also features a time breakdown overview, which shows how much time the call spent in a queue, being routed, and being served. Each call leg (or segment) of a call is analyzed, broken down, and displayed to offer a higher degree of observability into the caller experience.
Additional features showcased on this future roadmap include:
- More customization options for call reports
- External storage of CDR databases
- Introduction of the on-site proxy product, an on-site SBC to aid in traffic control for remote extensions and phones
- Archive optimization to support more platforms
- The use of Microsoft SSO to log in to YCM
- Support for synchronized function keys on Linkus mobile
- The ability to log into multiple Linkus accounts on the same device
Yeahs Awards
Finally, the event concluded with this year’s Yeahs Awards, which are Yeastar’s way of recognizing outstanding partners from around the world. These awards celebrate real-world success stories built on Yeastar solutions, highlighting measurable outcomes, innovative problem-solving, and repeatable success playbooks. The program honors excellence among hosting partners, solution providers, standout distributors, and other contributors, highlighting the stories and visions behind their achievements. It’s worth taking a look just to get inspired.
Conclusion
The Yeastar Day Virtual event this year was another success. If you didn’t have the opportunity to participate live, you can always check it out on demand and see what you missed. Seeing Yeastar’s innovation and promising future is worth the time!
