Yeastar continues to wow the industry with highly versatile solutions for a wide variety of sectors. Yeastar’s hotel management solution is an impressive offering that caters to the unique needs of the hospitality industry.
In this article, we explore Yeastar’s hotel management solutions in detail, focusing on PMS integration, hotel phone systems, VoIP gateway options, and the newly released hotel management module.
Yeastar’s IP PBX solution
In a previous article, we lauded Yeastar’s communications solutions for the hospitality sector and showcased the rich features that support this sector. These solutions are based on the P-Series phone systems and deliver a wide variety of options ideal for hotels, resorts, inns, and boutique accommodations.
The P-Series phones can integrate with various components of Yeastar’s hotel management solution to suit the needs of a wide variety of hotel sizes and types. They can also integrate with existing hotel phones and leverage a range of VoIP gateways.
Integration with hotel PMS systems
The P-Series phone system is designed to integrate directly with hotel property management systems (PMS) of various types. Both the appliance and the software edition of Yeastar's IP PBX support direct PMS integrations with Oracle Hospitality OPERA, Micros Fidelio, and other platforms that use the Fidelio Interface Application Specification (FIAS) over a TCP/IP network.
The diagram above shows an example of how Oracle’s PMS solution integrates with a high-availability scenario using two Yeastar P-Series PBXs. This integration allows real-time data exchange for room check-in and check-out statuses, guest information, housekeeping status, call and minibar charges, do-not-disturb status, and the wake-up call service.
For hospitality organizations that may have already invested in or opted for another non-compliant PMS, integration can still be achieved with customized setups either via tested PMS middleware or customizable open APIs available on the P-Series systems.
Yeastar’s hotel management module
For properties that have not yet chosen a PMS or are considering procuring one along with a P-Series IP PBX, consider Yeastar’s hotel management module. This newly released software module is directly integrated into the P-Series IP PBXs and provides an embedded hotel PMS designed for small to medium-sized hotels.
Here are some highlights of this solution:
- A room panel from which rooms can be managed, letting you check guests in and out, generate invoices, and determine room availability at a glance.
- Housekeeping and room status can be set and determined for each room, integrating the system with the front desk panel.
- Call accounting and billing are automatically logged, allowing the appropriate charges to be made directly to the guest account.
- Guest stay histories are accumulated and stored, providing a more personalized experience for returning customers.
Yeastar's hotel management module delivers a fully integrated solution that provides systematic property management at a cost-effective price point.
Phone integrations
Yeastar’s IP PBX solutions support auto-provisioning for more than 400 mainstream hotel phone models. This means that you don’t have to procure new endpoints—you can simply use any already installed telephone devices, further saving on upgrading costs. If you choose to, these phones can be upgraded later, making the upgrade more financially manageable.
Voice gateways
For implementations that still employ legacy telephony equipment and services, Yeastar offers a wide range of voice gateways that allow integration with conventional telephony. Because of the complexity and cost of migrating to an all-VoIP deployment, migration to VoIP often requires a gradual approach. This may result in intermediate stages necessitating the existence of a hybrid network for extended periods of time.
Some hospitality providers still have analog or ISDN telephony lines or legacy PBXs serving some of their telephones. Yeastar’s TA Series FXO gateways ISDN telephony gateways allow seamless integration of these devices into the VoIP system.
Similarly, analog telephones can be integrated into the system using Yeastar’s TA Series FXS gateways. These devices act as adaptors for analog phones, enabling them to be incorporated into a VoIP infrastructure and be managed via the installed P-Series PBX. Analog devices are essentially upgraded in this way to participate in all of the hospitality features Yeastar’s IP PBX has to offer. This further extends the life of these older systems, ultimately improving upon ROI and lowering the cost of transitioning to modern VoIP solutions.
Putting it all together
By accommodating existing systems and offering a clear path toward modernization, Yeastar allows hospitality businesses to get more value out of their investments. This value can be clearly seen in the following diagram that shows how the various available components and services are able to integrate into a complete solution:
Whether you’re running a small inn or a large resort, Yeastar’s approach combines flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, making it a smart option for staying competitive in today’s hospitality market.
Conclusion
Yeastar’s hotel management solutions stand out as a practical and innovative choice for the hospitality industry. With features like PMS integration, support for both analog and modern telephony, and a user-friendly hotel management module, these solutions are designed to help hotels enhance operations and improve guest satisfaction.
